What To Expect

  • The 3 hour Antelope Canyon X photography tour begins at the Navajo Nation Reservation. This tour is for photography hobbyists, people looking to spend more time in the canyon and make use of a tripod, or those looking to have a photoshoot in the canyon.

You and your photographer are transported in a 44 to the mouth of Antelope Canyon X, a 3-mile journey. Then, you hike 100 meters into the canyon, where our Taadidiin Tour guides provide a tour through the first slot canyon, then walk 200 meters to the second slot canyon. Stops can be made along the way for the photos.

Antelope Canyon X is named after the Xs carved into the Navajo Sandstone created by millions of years of rainfall and wind.

We do not visit or offer tours to Upper or Lower Antelope Canyon. Tours will be canceled if NOAA issues a flash flood warning for the area.

Wonderfull experience, Van was my guide for Canyon X, very knowledgeable with photo spots and phone settings. He also had a shovel for sand fall and light beam shots. Very accommodating, and not crowded! The next day I did Cardiac Canyon, this involves some ropes and ladders but well worth it. Tiara was my amazing guide who not only is local Navajo but also graduated in American Indian studies, so she explained the history, geology, and answered all the questions we had! There were 3 of us on this photo tour and one can appreciate the beauty and tranquility of these beautiful, stunning slot canyons!

The tour was great! I was told several days ahead of time that 12 of 15 spots were filled in the photo tour of Antelope X, but it turned out that there were only 3 of us! Perhaps there was some misunderstanding, but it turned out to be in my favor! Van was a great guide, and good photographer in his own right. Very patient…we had more than enough time to take photos and never felt rushed. One of your drivers mentioned other Canyons where you guide, but I missed those on your website…like Cardiac Canyon. I’ll look again. Thanks for everything!

Reservations were made easy with clear descriptions of what was included, times available to attend, how to get to the event and what to expect while there.

We choose this one just because it is only photo tour available when we bought ticket. We are not professional photographers but just want to take time to take some good pictures for memories. It certainly served the purpose. Our tour guide Tiarra even taught us some tricks how to take good photos, which is wonderful and we appreciate her for that and also for her knowledge about canyon very much.

My wife and I really enjoyed this tour. If you are lucky enough you will get Teeter as your guide. Photo tour was the best. Very relaxed and Teeter helped us get great pictures. Do the 10 am tour as its best time to get dramatic pictures

By far the best customer service I have received in a very long time. They helped through a top situation and were very helpful! Highly recommend.

Great experience overall. Chose this photography trip to be able to bring a tripod and to have more time in the canyon. Antelope Canyon X was a better value in my opinion because of the time shooting even though other tours come through periodically they were not photo tours and did not stay long. Guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. Short walk down into the canyon - no ladders.

I rang the customer service number because i could not find the photo tour that I wanted! The guy was extremely helpful and guided me through the whole process. I later had some questions which he answered and also told me of some UTUBE videos I could watch to wet my appetite. Canyon X here we come!!!

I have to say that the staff was amazing. Although they weren’t really clear about where I should park once I arrived and I got left behind, once they realized their mistake they worked together to get me caught up with my group. It wasn’t extremely crowded and the guides are very knowledgeable and convey that very well. Highly recommend and my guide Josh was awesome.
